Woodall’s: Campspot Software Is Developing ‘Remote Check-In’ Capabilities

Campspot, a campground management and reservation software company, is developing a remote check-in feature for its existing platform to support the safety of its customers and their guests in the midst of COVID-19 challenges, according to a press release.

Campspot customers will be able to register their guests remotely to avoid lines and personal contact within reservation offices.

Through remote check-in, campers will have the option to proceed directly to their sites upon arrival by electronically paying their balances and signing parks’ terms and conditions. While parks can still escort guests to their sites, Campspot’s feature expedites check-in, eliminates touch points, and provides eSignature capabilities at no cost.

“We hope this new feature will have far-reaching benefits towards keeping our customers’ staff and guests safe by reducing the need for in-person interactions while COVID-19 precautions are in place,” said Haley Dalian, marketing manager. “The eSignature and express check-in advantages of this feature will also last far beyond these times.”

Businesses across all industries currently battle new economic and legal challenges to keep their doors open. To date, elected officials from 46 states have issued either partial or statewide orders for residents to stay at home and for non-essential businesses to temporarily close. Many of these state orders allow for outdoor recreation practiced responsibly, which validates how parks remain important recreational outlets and shelter stations while weathering this virus.

As pressure mounts throughout the outdoor hospitality industry, Campspot has vowed to play an active role in supporting its customers, noted the release.

“Owners and operators will not have to navigate this uncertainty alone,” said Casey Cochran, director of business development. “We’re committed to doing our part to ensure parks stay open while continuing to serve campers in the safest way possible.”

Campspot also applauded the actions of the RV Industry Association, Recreation Vehicle Dealers Association, and the National Association of RV Parks & Campgrounds, which recently petitioned all state governors to recognize the RV industry and campgrounds as essential businesses.
